3.Special Considerations

Hot melt adhesive selection and use: In winter, we should use high temperature adhesive with better viscosity, and the upper limit of temperature is 210-220 degrees. At the same time, according to the thickness, width and size of the workpiece, as well as the heating capacity of the edge banding machine itself, the appropriate adjustment of the amount of glue and the use of temperature. If the machine is turned on but not working for a long time, the heating button needs to be turned off to prevent the glue from not flowing to produce paste. For fast melting glue, you need to clean the residual glue in the glue box every day, and it should be carried out under power on and working temperature.

Preheating of boards: In winter, the temperature of the boards is low, which will absorb heat and cool down, affecting the adhesion of the edge banding strips and hot melt adhesive. Therefore, if the edge banding machine has a baking lamp device, it should be turned on to preheat the plate. In addition, winter glue should be appropriately thicker than summer to ensure the quality of edging.
